Backpacking Guatemala es una comunidad de apasionados por el backpacking alrededor del mundo, pero sobre todo, en Guatemala. La comunidad se encarga de guiar, aconsejar, asesorar y proteger al turista y potencial turista a través de información valiosa, la cual obtiene a partir de experiencia, investigación o conocimiento preconcebido.
Backpacking Guatemala is a community of pasionates about backpacking around the world, but especially in Guatemala. The community is responsible to guide, counsel, advise and protect tourists and potential tourists through valuable information, which is derived from experience, research or preconceived knowledge.
Visión/ Vision
Ser una comunidad solida e integra que provee ayuda de forma gratuita y en tiempo inmediato a cualquier turista o potencial turista del territorio Guatemalteco.
To be a solid and ethic community, which provides free help in a timely manner to any tourist or potential tourist of the guatemalan territory.
Personas/ People
La organización está compuesta por voluntarios, Guatemaltecos en su mayoría, bilingues por requisito, quienes tienen el deseo de interactuar con diferentes personas alrededor del mundo en su tiempo libre y como diversión, sin ningún tipo de remuneración monetaria.
The organization is formed by a majority of guatemalan volunteers, biligual as a requisite, who have the desire to interact with different people around the world on their free time and as a hobbie, without any type of monetary remuneration.
Filosofía/ Phylosophy
Con el transcurrir del tiempo y con el progreso de la civilización el ser humano se aleja cada vez mas de su medio natural por lo que cuando vuelve, siente que ha renacido. Guatemala es un país repleto de sitios exóticos que dan lugar a aventuras llenas de riqueza en aprendizaje de todo tipo. Como comunidad compartimos el respeto a la naturaleza y la pluriculturalidad y promovemos el cambio hacia un turismo cada vez más sustentable.
With time and civilization's progress, the human being is taken apart from nature, when he returns, he feels reborn. Guatemala is a country full of exotic places, which give place to adventures full of learning. As a community we share respect to nature and multicultural society and we promote change towards a sustainable tourism.
Turismo Sustentable/ Sustainable Tourism
No es más que el turismo que no atenta contra la naturaleza ni la riqueza cultural del país. Por su contraparte, es el tipo de turismo que promueve la utilización de medios sustentables de todo tipo.
Is nothing more than the type of tourism which does not violate nature or culture in any way. In contrast, is the type of tourism that promotes the utilization of sustainable means of all types.
